Temples (2017)

This compelling work was taken in Hong Kong by Italian photographer Alessandro Sgarito in 2017.

The series “Silent HK” pushes to transmit the Artist’s vision of this great city.

“The metropolis runs, absorbs, consumes and crushes. For our own survival, it is necessary to find an escape route, a place where one can disappear to and find oneself. Not necessarily a physical place, rather a state of mind, a quest for silence, stillness and one's own uniqueness. This is what I have been looking for among the streets of Hong Kong and its inhabitants; moments of intimacy and daily stillness as well as silent escapes to other worlds.”
